Environmental Design

Graphic and web design for the web, taken alone, do not have an affect on our environment the way a print campaign would.  Since these creative businesses create a product for the digital world, the element of environmental design is important in the practices of a company.  Environmental design firms will use alternative energy, practice recycling of all materials including computers and other hardware, and will try to reduce the carbon footprint of the company.  Environmental design firms will also often donate a portion of money annually to environmental charities, and will promote the green movement through their business practices.
